Behind-the-meter means the generation sits on the customer side of the utility meter, at the load, rather than upstream on the grid. For a power-constrained site, that distinction is the difference between energizing this year and waiting for a connection date.

The grid is shared infrastructure. Connecting new load to it is slow by design. Behind-the-meter generation is dedicated infrastructure. It answers to the site, not the queue, and it can be deployed on a timeline the build controls.

Match the package to the site

There is no single right machine. The package depends on how fast the site needs power, how long it needs it, and what fuel it can take. Oculus works across the deployment lanes so the answer fits the site instead of the other way around.

  • Immediate: mobile rental and packaged units for energization in weeks.
  • Bridge: aeroderivative and reciprocating capacity to cover a grid or site gap of twelve to forty-eight months.
  • Prime: long-duration capacity for semi-permanent or permanent campus support.

Each lane lands in the same format, so a procurement team can compare options without reconciling formats and a finance team can route them in parallel.

Three problems, one counterparty

Delivering power to a site is rarely held up by a single decision. It is held up by the seams between three of them: sourcing the equipment, delivering it on site, and financing it.
